In this guide
Pickleball scoreboard themes change how the score looks on the court TV without changing the score. Multi Score Screen has six: Platinum, Classic, Gold, Broadcast, Neon and Pro. Every theme shows the same pickleball information: both scores, the serving side and server number, games won, and player names and photos, with the sponsor strip below. Each court can have its own theme, which matters on a bank of courts: the showcase court can look like television while the open-play courts stay plain and quick to read.

The six themes on a pickleball court
| Theme | Look | Best pickleball use |
|---|---|---|
| Platinum | Slim metallic figures on dark | Premium indoor clubs |
| Classic | Bold team rows, score in large color blocks | Open-play courts, sunny outdoor courts |
| Gold | Gold and silver figures with a match clock | Finals and medal matches |
| Broadcast | TV layout with big player photos at each side | Showcase court, streamed or filmed games |
| Neon | Glowing arcs, game boxes and photos | Evening sessions, glow pickleball, dark halls |
| Pro | Giant score figures in the centre | Competitive league courts |
Whatever the theme, the server number and serving side stay in the same place, so the three-number call is read the same way on every court.
Why theme choice matters on a bank of courts
Pickleball venues often have many identical courts side by side. Using different themes per area can help players orient themselves: open-play courts in Classic, league courts in Pro, the showcase court in Broadcast. At the same time, keep courts that are used the same way consistent, so players moving from court 2 to court 5 do not have to re-read the screen.
Classic: open play in the sun
Classic gives each team a bold row and puts the score in large color blocks. It is the easiest theme to read in bright sunlight and from the far baseline, and newcomers understand it immediately. Most open-play courts should start here.

Broadcast: the showcase court
Broadcast, shown at the top of this page, borrows the layout of televised matches: big player photos at each side and the score in the middle. Use it on the court nearest the seating, for exhibition games and for matches filmed for social media; the display is clean enough to work as an on-screen overlay. Names and photos used for a match are temporary and are removed when it ends.
Gold: finals and medal matches
Gold adds a match clock with gold and silver figures, turning the final of a club event into an occasion. Switch the event court to Gold for the medal rounds, then back to Classic for open play. A full event day is described in the pickleball tournament scoreboard guide.
Neon: evenings and glow events
Neon frames the score with glowing yellow and blue arcs. It fits evening sessions under lights, dark indoor halls and glow pickleball nights, where it blends with the atmosphere instead of fighting it.

Pro and Platinum
Pro puts giant score figures in the centre and nothing else in the way, which competitive league players tend to like. Platinum is quiet and premium, with slim metallic figures on dark; it suits well-lit indoor clubs where the screen is not too far from the players.
The winner screen
When a game ends, the winner screen shows the winners and the result on the TV, then the court resets and the join QR code returns for the next group. In open play this happens many times an evening, and players often photograph it after a close game.
Team colors and your own brand
- Pro, Elite and Unlimited let you set custom team names and colors, useful for leagues and team events.
- Elite and Unlimited add white-label branding, so the screens show the venue's identity.
- Every plan keeps the sponsor strip under the score and the full-screen sponsor rotation while courts are empty; see pickleball scoreboard sponsorship.
Changing themes during the week
The same court may run open play on weekday mornings, a league on Tuesday night and an event on Saturday. Because the theme is a setting, it can follow that schedule: Classic for open play, Pro for the league, Gold for the Saturday final, Neon for the monthly glow night. Agree who changes it, usually the desk, and check the screen from the far baseline afterwards.
Choosing a theme court by court
- How bright is it? Bright sun: Classic or Pro. Evening or dim hall: Neon.
- What is the court for? Open play needs clarity; events and showcase games suit Gold or Broadcast.
- What does the venue look like? A modern indoor club suits Platinum.
Then test with a few rallies and ask players which they read faster. Placement and glare are covered in outdoor pickleball court scoreboard.
